The students of Japan Dance Art must follow the school rules.
School rules:
According to the instruction of Tokyo Immigration the students of the culture VISA course must be strictly selected. Japan Dance Art accepts students to 3 month VISA & the culture VISA course under the following condition.
School registration:
3 months course & Culture VISA course: After your payment of school registration is confirmed, you will be registered as a student of Japan Dance Art. School. Registration fee including a culture VISA application is no refund.
Student ID card:
It will be given to the students when the all payment is done. The ID card must be returned the school when the course is over.
Starting dance:
You start to take classes after registration is complete if you are in Japan. If you are in abroad you start after arriving at Japan.
Visa application principle attitude:
Japan Dance Art accepts the applicant only who wants to reapply in case the first trial fails to avoid problematic people with weak ambition.  Don't even start your VISA application if you quit the VISA application after the first rejection.
Real documents:
Japanese government has the principle to reject the case even discovering one sheet of a fake document among all real documentations. Give the school only real documents.  No refund at the rejection with fake documents.
Requirements:
A cultural VISA is primarily dependant on your dedication to your studies with the Japan Dance Art school. Failure to attend classes will damage your chances to apply for a VISA application or extension.
Culture VISA:
Culture VISA is for who wants to study seriously in Japan Dance Art application.
Changing VISA status:
If you a student of a Japanese language school and wish to continue to study in Japan you may apply to change your VISA status from a student VISA to a cultural VISA.
Tourist VISA holders:
You cannot change your tourist VISA to a culture VISA, however you can apply a culture VISA if you are studying as a student of 3 months course. You might be able to apply a culture VISA during your first term of 3 months VISA or the second or more depending on your school presence and previous training career. Please contact us at the beginning of your three months stay and you might have enough time to prepare for your VISA application before your tourist VISA expires.
Advanced students:
According to the students level school hour and activity will be different from the normal level of classes.
Absence from class:
You must report absence or tardiness in advance.
Supplementary class:
Culture VISA course:A student who does not attend the required number of classes must take supplementary classes to apply for a culture VISA extension. 3 months course: Supplementary class is not required however another 3 months term attendance is required to the student whose school attendance record is below 50% if he/she wants to apply a culture VISA.
Leaving Japan:
Should you wish to travel to a foreign country you will need to obtain a re-entry permit at the Tokyo Immigration office or your VISA be void.
Guarantor:
Choose a suitable Japanese person who has a permanent address, home telephone number and a job with reasonable income. The school director of Japan Dance Art will accept to be your official Japanese guarantor while you are in Japan Dance Art if you have no Japanese relatives in Japan.
Financial guarantor:
It doesn't need to be a Japanese but any nationality who can show the either the payment record or income certification from the work or the bank statement according to Tokyo Immigration. Usually only one of them is required however all three are sometimes quire according to the case if the amount of the bank statement is below 700,000 yen..
School fee:
Refundable after reapplication rejection except following cases: 1) Quitting the school in the middle of the course. Changing mind not to study after the school registration to Japan Dance Art was made. 2) Withdrawing the VISA application. 3) Changing mind not to study after the school registration to Japan Dance Art was made or once start to take class. It is to avoid to have non suitable people for the school however Japan Dance Art might give lesson tickets according to the situation but not cash back.
Inspection time:
1) 3 months VISA: It takes 4 days or sometimes over 3 weeks even for the same nationality applicant according to the documentations of the applicant. 2) A culture VISA: It takes sometimes only 3 weeks however sometimes over 4 or 5 months to get the result according to the each case.
Culture VISA application:
A culture VISA application is done in Japan during the 3 months course by the the presence of the 3 month course student to get the stamp on his/her passport at Tokyo Immigration and the certification of the eligibility will be sent to J.D.A. from Tokyo Immigration by post.
Applicant in abroad:
Japan Dance Art applies a culture VISA for the people in abroad.
Documentations:
All documentations once given by the applicant to the school won't be returned except the original certification of the graduating even the application is quit or withdrawn before or after application action.  The documentations will be kept either in Tokyo Immigration or in the school as data.
Waiting period:
While waiting for the result of the inspection period Tokyo Immigration recommends the applicant to stay in the home country not visiting Japan with a tourist VISA which might effect the result of the culture VISA application. The school is not responsible for the case if the applicant visits Japan with a tourist VISA during the VISA inspection period.
Declaring:
The applicant must declare the entire situation of your present and previous passport situation including the visit to Japan, extension the VISA, rejection, not hiding anything, the experience of overstay of your own and of your family member living in Japan or left Japan, whatever Tokyo Immigration or school may ask. If you don't give answer within the time limit made by Tokyo Immigration or J.D.A. you might not be able to either apply or receive the culture VISA however you can study in 3 months course with less documentations than the culture VISA course students.
Interview or inquiring:
The applicant must give a proper answer to Tokyo Immigration promptly either at the VISA application interview or for inquiring done by fax or phone call from Tokyo Immigration.  They will ask the same question until they get the answer. In case the answer doesn't come on time the case might be rejected by Tokyo Immigration as they don't wait forever.
Purpose of a culture VISA:
The purpose of the culture VISA is limited to the cultural activity not to work.
Illegal work:
Some people work under the culture or even tourist VISA however working under those VISA is theoretically not allowed in Japanese law.
Cooperation of the applicant:
A VISA application will be done with the cooperation of the applicant. If the school can't have enough or correct information from the student it will effect to the inspection result. This is the reason to apply a culture VISA only for the student studying in the 3 months course so that the school can receive information and discuss with the students in the school to prepare the culture VISA application.
Necessary documentations:
Required documentations will be different depending on the case however the culture VISA application requires more documents than 3 months tourist VISA.
Double application:
You may not apply a different kind of VISA at the same time. If found out one of them or even both of them will be rejected. Apply a VISA after receiving a result of the first application.
Contacting:
Deal with Japan Dance Art by one person for one case however the school might contact to get information from multiple sources of the applicant.
Withdrawing cases:
Done by the school:1)In case waiting for a long time for the result from Tokyo Immigration Japan Dance Art might withdraws the application before being rejected according to the situation after discussing with Tokyo Immigration. It is to save the record of the applicant in the Japanese government computer and sometimes withdrawing from the applicant side is recommended by Tokyo Immigration. 2) If the student is not suitable for the culture VISA course due to lacking of the school presence or some other serious reason the school might withdraw the case after discussing with the officer of Tokyo Immigration however it can be applied again after a while.  Done by the applicant: Must be reported to Japan Dance Art in a written form that will be brought to Tokyo Immigration with the passport copy of departure stamp of Tokyo Narita Airport to proof the legal leaving from Japan to save the applicant reputation if the applicant was in Japan..
Quitting or withdrawing the application:
The applicant must give a written notice to Japan Dance Art in case quitting or withdrawing the VISA application not by e-mail, telephone or spoken notice.  No refund the amount once paid if the application is quit or withdrawn by the applicant side.
Re-application:
In case your first application is rejected, the second (or more) VISA application will be arranged at no extra cost.
Refundable school deposit:
It is to avoid to have overstayed who enter into Japan and disappear somewhere to work, which unfortunately happened to us before.  Your school deposit will be given back to your bank account in your home country after you leave Japan sending us the copy of your passport with departure stamp.
Amount of school deposit:
The refundable school deposit depends on the country: 150,000 yen. 100,000 yen for exceptional cases. 50,000 will be added if you do not have a Japanese guarantor.
Guarantor:
The cases not refundable the deposit: Who quits the school (not contacting the school over two weeks), not completed the school or damaged school property (equipment, costume, etc.).
Updated school information:
It can be seen in this website. The students must check at least once in a week however if the student comes to the school regularly the school information or minor change of the rules can be reported directly in the school.
Duration of the culture VISA:
Either a half year of one year can be decided by Japan Dance Art regarding on the school presence and the financial situation of the student.
Previous training:
At least three years training in your home country is required by Tokyo Immigration for a culture VISA applicant. If your training duration in your home country is less than it you have to have your training in the 3 months VISA course before applying a culture VISA.
Timing of culture VISA application:
Although you can proof your three years training of your home country if you don't have the certain required level Japan Dance Art might ask you to apply your culture VISA only after achieving the required level based on the student score record.
Extension:
  • A culture VISA can be extended if the condition of the student is suitable for it.  The school presence, financial situation, artistic value etc will be considered. The culture VISA extension offer will be done by the school to the student.
     
  • 3 months VISA can't be extended except few exceptional cases however a student can enter to Japan legally again to study further under 3 months VISA if you once legally leave Japan. If you try to exited a tourist VISA your culture VISA inspection will receive more attention than other cases and usually receive unhappy result.
Unavailable extension:
You can't extend the VISA that has the stamp of "the final extension" by any way and you have to leave Japan within the VISA expires however you can apply a new VISA. In case your new VISA application will be done after your departure, it will be handled by the school.
We are not responsible for any accidents occurred caused by not reading the school rules including lacking of the language ability. The purpose of the school rule is to run the school smoothly, accept only serious cases and to avoid to be involved with wrong cases especially for the misuse of the culture VISA that can't allow you to work. 

Don't hesitate to ask us anything what you don't understand about the school rules in a written form either by fax, post. or E-mail. Spoken message including phone calls are unacceptable.

We don't give answer in verbal form but by documentations to have a trace and to avoid misunderstanding between the school and the student.
